Andrew Haines sets out importance of rail reform at annual Beesley Lectures

Today, Andrew Haines, Chief Executive of Network Rail and Lead for Great British Railways Transition Team took part in the annual Beesley Lectures.
GBRTT was proud to have been asked to speak at a forum of industry economists, policy makers, academics and lawyers.
Speaking at the Institute of Directors in Pall Mall, Andrew set out why:
- The Williams review was right to recommend the most sweeping reforms of a generation
- Rail reform is as important now in a post-pandemic world as it was 18 months ago
- The need for a guiding mind being central to reforming the broken rail system
