Government confirms support for rail reform and creation of GBR

Transport Secretary Mark Harper confirmed the government’s support for the next phase of rail reform and the creation of Great British Railways at the annual Bradshaw Address in London, hosted by Rail Partners, last night.
In his speech, he acknowledged the urgent need for reform and confirmed the Prime Minister and Chancellor's shared support.
He also highlighted three key areas he was keen to address around customers, structure and the role of the private sector.
