Lead Director on the benefits of a more integrated transport network
Building a simpler better railway for everyone in Britain
Our Lead Director (Interim) Rufus Boyd spoke at Manchester's Interchange UK conference about the benefits a more integrated transport network will bring and the work GBRTT is doing to:
- improve rail’s strategic planning, making it easier for other organisations to work with the industry;
- forge partnerships with city regions that deliver improvements for local communities, including smoother end-to-end journeys;
- make it easier to improve station facilities by simplifying three overlapping approval processes into one modern approach;
- use new tools, better analysis and closer collaboration to help align decision-making across track and train ahead of Great British Railways.
