Rail Campus Derby launch

Rail Campus Derby officially launched

Local government partners and rail industry leaders came together to speak about this unique opportunity and what it means for the future of our railway

We were thrilled to be part of the official launch of Rail Campus Derby this week.

The event underscored the critical role of collaboration between the private sector, supply chain, local government, and educational partners in shaping a simpler, better and innovative future for our railway.

Rail Campus Derby is set to become a dynamic hub for innovation, growth and collaboration - with the Great British Railways headquarters poised to be established right in the heart of the city.

It was inspiring to hear from key speakers about how this initiative will offer a unique opportunity for businesses to co-locate, share expertise and foster partnerships, embedding the practices and culture needed to ensure the long-term success of Britain’s railway under Great British Railways.

With Derby already home to more than 600 businesses that operate in the railway, employing more than 45,000 people, Rail Campus Derby hopes to encourage even more businesses to co-locate, share expertise and foster partnerships, as we head towards a simpler and better future for rail.
